Vlora Waterfront, Albania

For the city of Vlora in southern Albania the sea is the reference point. Most of the leisure and economic activities are related to the sea, from fishing to tourism to the port infrastructure. But urban reality was not respectful towards these natural talents and did not make use of it’s obvious potentials. With this project the city has a second chance to grow from and with the coastal landscape to which it belongs. For this sensitive urban restoration, they will use the “kit of architectural seeds” that we develloped to reevaluate and orchestrate a future based on the idea of permaculture.
